Email policy

So, email. We all get far too much of it, even with the spam filtered out, and writing long replies quietly eats a surprising chunk of the day.

My answer is to treat a reply more like a text message than a letter. Counting characters is a faff, so I count sentences instead: whoever you are and whatever it's about, I'll try to keep my reply to five sentences or fewer.

It's not me being curt (honestly). It just means you get an answer sooner, and more people get one at all.

If something genuinely needs more than five, it probably deserves a coffee instead. ☕️
